Understanding the Three Pillars: Energy, Sensory, and Movement
The foundation of the Neurosage approach — why healing starts at the cellular level, how sensory input builds the nervous system, and why movement matters so much.
Every protocol in the Neurosage framework rests on three pillars: Energy, Sensory, and Movement.
Energy comes first. For the brain and nervous system to grow and heal, cells need adequate energy stores. Without that foundation — proper nutrition, restorative sleep, and reduced inflammatory load — progress in any other area is slower and harder to sustain.
Sensory input is the fuel of development. The nervous system matures when the sensory systems — touch, balance, movement sense, vision, hearing — are adequately and appropriately stimulated. When sensory systems are under-stimulated, the nervous system stays under-integrated. Many behaviors families find puzzling are, at their root, a nervous system asking for the input it needs.
Movement ties it together. Our sensory systems fuel our ability to move, and movement in turn drives brain maturation. Purposeful, playful movement is one of the most powerful tools a family has at home.
Everything you will find in this hub — from feeding strategies to communication practice — connects back to these three pillars. Start here, and the rest of the library will make more sense.
